OUR FOCUS

LOCAL PLANNING
Future Wolverton was responsible for delivering the Wolverton Town Centre Neighbourhood Plan on behalf of Wolverton & Greenleys Town Council.
We have a role in ensuring that the objectives and policies of the Neighbourhood Plan are realised, and are involved in commenting on planning applications which impact on the delivery of the Plan.

LOCAL BUSINESSES
As a not for profit enterprise, Future Wolverton is concerned with the development of the local economy. We want to promote local businesses of all types, and encourage mutually beneficial local trade and local shopping.
The redevelopment of the Agora will kick-start a change in the attractiveness of Wolverton Town Centre, and we hope to work with local businesses to make the most of the opportunities this will bring.

COMMUNITY ENERGY
Future Wolverton is committed to the sustainable development of Wolverton, and has done considerable work in the past on improving the energy efficiency of the Victorian housing stock.
Our sister organisation – Wolverton Community Energy – was established as a result of this work, and we work closely together to develop community owned renewable energy in Wolverton and across Milton Keynes.

OLD SCHOOL PROJECT
The Old School is a Grade 2 listed building on Old Wolverton Road which was previously owned by The Radcliffe Trust.
The Old School opened in May 2019 providing much needed community facilities for the Old Wolverton area, a 3 bedroomed Guest House for visitors to Milton Keynes and a Community Cafe run by students at Slated Row School.
